Description
Maillaird Normandy Luxe Competition red-label 36-hole front hub with sealed loose-ball-cup-and-cone bearing system. I believe this is from 1970s-mid because the o.l.d. is 100mm (rather than the earlier models’s 96mm), but the cones are 15,5mm (rather than the later models’s 17,75mm). Light at 120g.
This hub is in good condition. Not perfectly smooth, but cones are unpitted, there is minimal spoke pull, threads are clean, seals are pliable. There is some damage to the aluminium (see photo), but this does not affect performance.
